Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure Confirmed, More to Follow
In a totally unsurprising turn of events and one of the worst kept secrets at that, Sega has officially confirmed the arrival of Dreamcast classics Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure to the Playstation Store later this year. More Dreamcast titles will follow suit.
The re-release of good ol’ Dreamcast titles will be led by Sonic Adventure this Fall, followed by Crazy Taxi and many others as time goes on. All games will be ports of the Dreamcast originals, enhanced with high resolution visuals, stereo sound, online leaderboards and Trophies support.
Commented Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA of America and SEGA Europe:
“The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming. There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today’s digital market place. We’re very excited to begin offering gamers our beloved Dreamcast titles again on the current console systems.”
Both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be showcased at SEGA’s booth at E3 2010 next week.
