LucasArts Would Love Super Star Wars on Xbox 360
LucasArts, Executive producer Haden Blackman has told CVG in an interview that the developers have “kicked around” ideas for more games based on the original Star Wars trilogy, which includes looking to take the universe in “new directions”.
Blackman Quoted to CVG:
“There are certainly some ideas we’ve kicked around [with the original trilogy] and we’re always trying to capture the spirit of some of those big moments from the films,” said Blackman.
“We’re also interested - and this is something that comes from George [Lucas] - in taking Star Wars in new directions, not just always going back and re-hashing what has been done before,” he added.
“But at the same time I would love to see a Super Star Wars on the Xbox 360, so I think anything is possible.”
Super Star Wars is a run and gun, Super NES platform game based on the film ‘Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope’ which was released in 1992. The game was released on the Wii’s Virtual Console in 2009, but a new Xbox 360 version could include a full HD remake if LucasArts were to go forth with a port for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
