Halo: Reach Download Hackers Getting Banned

Microsoft is taking drastic action against gamers who have used JTAG modded consoles to bypass a security process that has allowed them to download the full game of Halo: Reach. Recently for selected reviewers only, Microsoft had put a build of the game on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace that was legitimately able to be downloaded with a 25 digit redeem code.

Following the un-legit download of Halo: Reach, the title has since made it’s way on to bit torrent sites and is now circulating around for gamers who have had their drive’s firmware flashed. These gamers also will be banned as part of the prerelease title play enforcement action from Microsoft.

If you have Halo: Reach achievements right now on your gamercard without receiving the reviewers redeem code for a legit download, then expect a permanent suspension from Xbox LIVE soon!
