Microsoft has confirmed that uploading game saves from the Xbox 360 console to the cloud will be a reality with the upcoming Fall update due to hit Xbox LIVE by Christmas.
Gamer’s will be able to upload any save to the cloud service from all game titles, this being Xbox retail, Xbox LIVE Arcade and Indie. It has been said that a storage size limit will be in place for game saves and Gamertag data, whilst Avatar Awards and Unlockable’s will not be permitted. It is not yet known if the storage service will integrate with Microsoft’s SkyDrive branded cloud service that works with Microsoft Office, Hotmail and Windows Phone 7.
The new dashboard will feature a reminder-style Beacon system, Bing search, a Windows Phone 7-style tabbed interface, Skype, Youtube and more. The video above was leaked earlier this week.
