Epic Games Executive Producer, Rod Fergusson has announced to the staff at Epic Games and the world that Gears of War 3 has gone gold.

The arena at Epic’s HQ was filled with excited staff members as Rod made the announcement. After the announcement was made, Rod had PR Manager Dana Cowley roll out the cake and he along with Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski, cut the cake with a Gold Retro Lancer.

The cake was a gift from Microsoft and the general consensus was the cake was delicious.

Gears of War 3 will be released without delay on September 20th in Standard, Limited and Epic Editions.
