Turtle invasion coming next year

Those crazy ninjas that we all used to love are now back, in the form of a computer game once again. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (also known as Hero Turtles in the UK), will be coming to March to the DS, Wii, GBA and even the GameCube, along with the film release in the very same month.

NES versionWhile it has to be said that all games prior to this one (except the mighty hard NES version) have been far from enjoyable, it doesn’t mean you can’t be hopeful. Ubisoft are at the helm, and there’s no harm in being a little optimistic. Having said that, when has a film-based game been phenomenal?

Of course, a film based game on the Wii could be a whole different story. This game has the potential of using the control in a similar way to Red Steel, whereby you wave your arms round like a maniac killing everything in sight. It would be great; people jumping around the room like maniacs, trying to get the job done. What could be better?! Even the DS could come up with some cool features thanks to the Touch Screen. So long as Ubisoft use the different features that make the Wii and DS special, the game will probably be better than if it’s on any other system. Even the GameCube gets a version, which at least has rumble.

If you are excited about this, there is a nice little “making of” video. The film is CG, unlike some of the (also shockingly awful) Turtle movies gone by, so the style of the game looks good.

If you watch the video, you’ll notice that the guy speaking mentions “working as a family”. There are four Turtles, so could this mean four player co-op? Imaging leaping around your room with your mate as you do all the moves with the Remote and Nunchuck; that would be a great experience, and one that everyone would enjoy. WiFi experience would also be an excellent addition. Plus, feeling like a ninja appeals to me, because it’s something I’ll never be able to do, so back-flipping off of walls by flicking a Remote gives me great pleasure.

I’m excited about the game, and I just hope Ubisoft can make the game a fun experience. Co-op would swing it greatly for me, so fingers crossed on that front. The game is set to release on the 23rd of March, 2007 in the UK (except the PS3 version). I’m sure the film will be released on the same day, or just before. And in true EA style, the game is going to be released on Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP, PS3, DS, GBA and GameCube. invasion coming next year newsvine:Turtle invasion coming next year furl:Turtle invasion coming next year reddit:Turtle invasion coming next year fark:Turtle invasion coming next year Y!:Turtle invasion coming next year gamegrep:Turtle invasion coming next year
