After discovering an interesting set of product listings at CD Universe and on Wal-Mart’s internal database of internal product codes, GameSpot rumours that a new videogame based on Lego Star Wars is on its way to both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
Both websites have entries entitled Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga, with an expected release date of November 8. The game’s encompassing suffix seems to suggest that the new entry into the successful and critically acclaimed series will be some sort of compilation, featuring both the original Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.
Both previous Star Wars Lego games sold well - number two sold more than 1.1 million copies in its first week on sale, no less, proving that the combination of Lego and Star Wars in one package was too much for either/both franchise’s legions of fans to ignore. The NPD Group’s figures revealed that it was the third highest selling game of 2006 for all consoles.
