Midway confirms Cocoto Kart Racer for Europe
Midway Games has announced that it has signed the European publishing rights to what can suitable be dubbed a Mario Kart clone (although we doubt they’d like to hear that), Cocoto Kart Racer on the Nintendo DS, GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
The press release promises that players will be able to choose from a mixture of “12 different good ‘n’ evil characters and their crazy carts.” Sounds thrilling.
Cocoto Kart Racer features two gameplay modes - a championship mode with 15 “mind-boggling” tracks and a multiplayer mode that can be played over the Nintendo Wi-Fi network.
Leonie Manshanden, European Marketing Director, Midway Games Ltd, said, “Neko Entertainment’s Cocoto Kart Racer is the perfect game for DS owners of all ages, and we’re delighted to be working closely with Neko on this release.”
Story:
Cocoto is back for this new challenge! The friendliest of imps now has a well-balanced kart and numerous powers at his disposal!
Play Cocoto and his friends in devilish races!
Features:
- Choose among 12 characters and their crazy karts!
- 2 play modes: championship, simple race.

There’s no official release date at present, but we’re rather more looking forward to a different DS announcement today - that of Myst for the Nintendo DS in Europe.
