THQ to bring Marvel Super Hero Squad to consoles
THQ has confirmed today that it has signed an agreement with Marvel Team to expand the Marvel Super Hero Squad brand beyond action figures, comic books and an animated series, with videogames based on the cuddly, kid-friendly franchise. The first will power its way onto PC and consoles in the autumn of 2009.
The Marvel Super Hero Squad brand was launched at the beginning of 2007, and features cartoon-like re-creations of some of the firm’s most popular figures, including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man.
“Marvel is one of the true crown jewels in the entertainment industry and we are thrilled at the prospect of both building the Marvel Super Hero Squad brand and further developing our relationship with Marvel,” said Brian Farrell, THQ president and CEO. “We are dedicated to expanding our unmatched success story in the kids space and this agreement with Marvel is an excellent complement to our portfolio.”
No specific details about the upcoming videogames have been announced as of yet, but as soon as we hear anything, we’ll let you know.

My squad is super super.
