Guitar Hero IV track list leaked?

A thread appeared on the Gamefaqs forums where someone claimed to have the entire track list for Guitar Hero IV: World Tour. Normally we wouldn’t pay any attention to these kinds of threads, but it’s leaked by the same person who posted last year’s Guitar Hero 3 track list which makes it a lot more credible.

If the following list is indeed the entire track list, there will be a huge number of songs available in the game. The great thing about it, is that there’s a lot of variety. Punk, metal, rock, are just a few of the genres, almost everyone will like at least a couple of these songs. Remember however that this list hasn’t been confirmed by neither Neversoft or Activision.

Fucking TOOL? Are you serious? Doesn’t seem like them to do this but HEY Maynard did do a bottle signing for his wine a few months ago.

Comment by Alex King on 2008-07-25 03:18:48

I remember on their website they seemed to get kind of pissed when some fan asked if they’d ever license their music for RB or GH so I’ll be surprised if that turns out to be true.

Comment by Worms on 2008-07-24 23:14:34

I call BS on at least some of it. There’s a few Rock Band duplicates in there that doesn’t make sense for them to include those. If that’s a fairly accurate list and the Rock Band instrument compatibility is real I’ll have to pick this up. CKY, At The Drive In, Pink Floyd, Sublime, that’s going to be hard to pass up.

Comment by Steve Perry on 2008-07-25 01:59:42

And how many rock band songs are GH3 duplicates?
A lot, that’s for sure. Duplicates don’t mean squat.

Comment by Worms on 2008-07-25 21:36:33

Turns out it was BS

Comment by KultiVator on 2008-07-24 23:49:05

But I though you only played Worms?!

Worms with a drum controller!

Comment by slug on 2008-07-25 00:05:13

#1 There are already duplicate songs on GH3 and Rock Band 1.

#2 IF (keyword: if) this is the real list, this list kicks RB2’s ass into the ground. I still love RB and will definitely pick up RB2, but come on, look at that list!

Comment by Steve Perry on 2008-07-25 02:01:24

Comfortably numb and One Armed Scissor totally tipped this for me, It’s guna be bought by me.

Why do they have to keep on making guitar battles though? Don’t they know that everyone thinks they are shit?

Comment by MoD Gunslinger on 2008-07-25 02:29:38

Seems like a solid list of tracks from a semi-credible source.

I wouldn’t doubt it.

Comment by McKeeganWRX on 2008-07-25 03:05:03

Dangit!

I’m a huge Harmonix/RB fan, and I’ve hated Guitar Hero III. I haven’t like anything I’ve seen about GH IV, but this setlist…

It hurts my heart.

Comment by 88 on 2008-07-25 03:06:13

shit ya its about time they put better iron maiden songs on there…you would think theyd put em on legends of rock since they are one of the best. but at least theyre here now

Comment by papukaija on 2008-07-25 03:24:40

List didn’t leak, it was given.
Now they check everyones reaction and fix that list after that.

Comment by Veritas on 2008-07-25 05:17:15

Wow. Maybe I’ll buy RB and then just the disc for GH.

It looked iffy, but as the list went on it just got better and better.

Comment by Veritas on 2008-07-25 05:20:13

Waaait a minute, it’s hard to imagine System of a Down ever letting their songs be put into a game.

Tool is unlikely, too, but SOAD is just way more so.

Comment by Worms on 2008-07-25 13:33:12

They already have Chop Suey in Rock Band 2.

Comment by Veritas on 2008-07-27 01:25:16

Wow, really?

Comment by Curtis Jackson on 2008-07-27 06:28:17

You think System letting their songs be on a video game is more unlikely than Tool doing so?

Comment by Veritas on 2008-07-28 01:28:54

Yeah… Tool is snobby about that stuff, but I think Maynard’s eased up in the past few years. SOAD seems more likely to be anti-this stuff (just look at their purposely miserable performances for MTV).

Comment by Curtis Jackson on 2008-07-25 05:28:56

This is such bullshit, waaaaay too good to be true. It’s like everyone’s wishlist for songs. No way would Pink Floyd, Tool, or System ever let their songs go into a video game.

If this does end up being true, I’ll pick it up over Rock Band 2, but this can’t be true.

Comment by Curtis Jackson on 2008-07-25 05:32:39

“‘TAKE’ it Away” by RHCP…? Just sayin’…

Comment by Veritas on 2008-07-27 01:25:55

I noticed that, too. Is it one of those songs nobody ever remembers, or just a horrible typo?

Comment by villians on 2008-07-25 07:37:12

Im sick of dishing out cash for these game but this setlist wouldnt even need DLC u can make ur own music on top of that they sold me on every song on that list seems like it would be right nobody here believed this last time either and it was 100% true soo im gonna trust this on for sure SOOOOO MANY SONGS!!!!(my head just blew up)

Comment by Steve Perry on 2008-07-25 14:23:03

Your head blew up so severly that you forgot what punctuation is, clearly.

Comment by thecount on 2008-07-25 10:04:32

RAMMSTEIN!!! Are you fucking kidding me? I am so fucking happy right now. These games need more Rammstein.

Comment by The_Glovner on 2008-07-25 12:15:20

“Take it Away” by Red Hot Chili Peppers ?

Surely “give” rather than “take”?

Comment by OLethalOShadowO on 2008-07-25 15:32:55

if this is true….OMG

Comment by Fetter on 2008-07-25 17:07:57

Confirmed by Activision as fake.

I almost shat myself reading these songs, if red octane/activision decides not to use this list they are completely retarded and shall burn in hell because whoever thought up this list fake or not is my long lost twin!
