In its on-going battle for supremacy with EA’s Rock Band, Activision has proudly announced that the American alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins is set to debut its new single “G.L.O.W.” in Guitar Hero World Tour sometime after the game’s release.

The new single will be accompanied by two other Smashing Pumpkins hits, “1979” and “The Everlasting Gaze,” all three of which will be released as a three-song downloadable pack in the Playstation Store for a yet to be determined price. If that’s not enough to entice fans of the band about Guitar Hero World Tour, The Smashing Pumpkins’ singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Billy Corgan is also to appear in the game as an in-game character.
