Additional Halo 3 Achievements confirmed
In the latest Bungie Weekly Update, the developer took some time to not only touch upon the rumoured new Halo 3 Achievements, but also to fully expose a whole third of them. Make the jump to learn what it will take to earn an additional 250 Gamerscore in Halo 3.
The second title update which is scheduled to be made available by the end of this month will introduce 10 new Halo 3 Achievements that can be unlocked via the Legendary Maps and Halo 3 Campaign:
- Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch (0 points) – Get to the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system.
- Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 (0 points) – Enter into any ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th of the month.
- Vidmaster Challenge: Annual (0 points) – After 9/25/08, complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.
- Double Double (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get two Double Kills during any ranked or social match.
- Poor Yorick (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 3 Oddball melee kills during any ranked or social match.
- Came…From…Behind (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match.
- Defend This (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get a flag melee kill during any ranked or social match.
- Flag Dropped (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 2 flag carrier kills during any ranked or social match.
- Road Rage (25 points) – On a Legendary map, get 5 Warthog chaingun kills during any ranked or social match.
- Look Both Ways (50 points) – On a Legendary map, get a Splatter Spree during any ranked or social match.
What about the rest?! This is what Bungie had to say:
“As folks have seen, these aren’t the only achievements we’re adding. But without proper context, there’s not a whole lot else we’re going to say. Stay tuned.”
There you have it – the confirmation of even more new Achievements planned to be added sometime in the future. That annual challenge is sweet!! I did 4 times already without such an achievement. we just love that lvl with ghosts :P
I do LOVE Halo3, but I live in Australia and unfortunately my situation is that I have a very sucky internet shared with 5 other people…
why cant they give ME more achievements via single player?? I hate that my friends who play ONLINE always get so much more gamer card points than me… I think MS should separate the score on the gamer card…

That’s exactly what I thought. If and when the map pack becomes free I’ll give these a look.
yeah, this is true, but I must admit, I really did have a lot of fun with the Legendary map pack. I just et my a$$ kicked cause I don’t know the maps too well yet.
I think these achievements are pretty easy to be honest apart from the Iron skull Legendary one (which is 0 points). Most of the stuff it mentions, I get all the time like 2x double kills, oddball melee, flag kills etc. For 250 points, you’d think they’d come up with something a little more challanging. They shoulda went for something like get 10,000 kills or something like that.
Yeah, Even I get 2x Double kills and I am not that great at Halo.
