RUMOR: Metal Gear Coming to 360
Filed under big fat RUMOR, an image has appeared over at the Official Metal Gear Website that is not only interesting, but down right suggestive. Hit the jump to check it out.
The above image is a tease from Konami’s Kojima Producations website. The image is created in the trademark XBOX green and the power button looks eerily similar to the XBOX’s ring of light … could this mean that MGS solid is in fact coming to a 360 near you? Only time will tell, as Konami is set to reveal their next Metal Gear title early next year.

yes, but all power symbols have that same shape. I dont think that they would use green for the Wii. Xbox is trademarked with the green color, and a lot of people have been clamoring for an MGS title on the 360.
I think that if this proves to be true, the PS3 is in some trouble.

why not it seems as every other original sony title is jumping to the 360 why not this one metal gear
also i think if it were the wii why not have it light blue like the controler light to me neon green says xbox and i dont know what color sony would be
well the playstation 3 power button goes green… maybe it’s just hinting a a 2nd installment for PS3… I think for people to assume its 360 just because the writing is green is perhaps hoping way too much. Im sure ages ago we heard it was possibly coming though…

I enjoyed MGS on the PS3, but by god it wasn’t quite what it was hyped upto be. Look at this way though if it did come to the 360, everyone might be lucky and all the inanely boring cut-scenes would get cut, as this game fills a dual-Layer Blu-Ray disc, if it was ported over that would involve the dreaded 3+ dvd disc release that ID has said is so cost prohibitive that they cut Rage to fit onto to disc’s on the 360.

Actually that wasn’t me it was someone using my name which I guess is ok for people to do that now. I remember when that kinda crap would get peoples IP banned, but whatever. I guess the rules don’t apply to everyone.
Anyways I could care less rather it comes out on Xbox or not, it probably wont, but I don’t care if it does. I’m not sure how they’d do it, there are things in the game that specifically require a PS3, those who have played it know what I’m referring to. But you guys can have it if you want it. What will be funny and typical is how all the box owners who couldn’t have it before and talked nothing but shit about it will no doubt completely change there tune and say its great, remember its only crap if you cant have it. Maybe you guys will get Gran Turismo as well, then it can finally be a great game as opposed to the crap you seem to think it is.

I bought a PS3 a few months back just for metal gear (after the rumours kept getting quashed about the 360 release), if they will be releaseing it on the xbox thats a hugh middle finger to PS3 owners as this game one of the very limited reasons there is for even getting a PS3 (Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet). I have both consoles and will be heart broken as my PS3 will just be sat there redundant. Personally the games look and even play better on the PS3 eg: Mirrors Edge, Tomb Raider. But the 360 has alot more games and is simply better (not sure why? even though I’m on my 3rd one after my 1st 2 ….RRODed on me) PLEASE DON’T RELEASE MGS ON XBOX!!!!!
MGS is not the only reason to own a PS3. It has numerous exclusive titles unavailable on the 360, and has numerous system features that I use daily which the 360 does not have.
I’d be well surprised if this ever happened. Hideo Kojima himself has stated categorically that it won’t.
There’s no need for MGS on XBox. Splinter Cell has generally been a more enjoyable game to play. MGS 1 was a complete classic though in its time.

Formely announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will now also be released on Xbox 360, with a cut-down Nintendo Wii version also a possibility, according to online reports.
The new game in the multi-million selling franchise will feature objective-based missions, while Xboxliveaddicts claims the Xbox 360 version will also include exclusive content and gameplay not offered in the PS3 edition.
Starring the infamous character Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as with other titles in the series, is being created by renowned designer Hideo Kojima.
A Konami spokesman said of the PS3 edition: “The game is set after the events of MGS2 and players will reprise the role of top secret agent Solid Snake with appearances by characters throughout the MGS series. With the addition of online capability, MGS4 is a leading product and will signal the dawn of a new gaming era for the MGS series.”
The firm also added: “MGS4 brings a totally new concept and situation, resulting in the toughest Metal Gear infiltration mission ever devised.”
Industry insiders claim publisher Konami is also in talks with Nintendo to bring a cut-down MGS game to the Wii.

Metal Gear Solid 2 came to Xbox so cant see why this one wont.

Notice how the “i” starts out facing one way, the ends up facing…thats right…the other way, “360 degress” the other way to be precise…it even utilizes the power button “ring” to show the track of rotation….sorry to say, Konami is just bringing one more title to the 360…
