Dead Rising 2 confirmed
Finally, after years of waiting the long awaited sequel has finally been announced. Capcom confirmed Dead Rising 2 as a multi-platform title coming to a console near you soon. Read more after the jump.
The sequel will take place years after the events of the first game with the zombie virus now spread throughout the United States. The gambling paradise of Fortune City, a Vegas-like city, will be the new playing ground for us to slash some zombies.
The game is being developed by Canada’s Blue Castle Games and also a number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside them throughout the development process.
No release date has been set yet, but we can assume it will be released sometime next year.

Dead Rising remains the best game on the 360 to date… and has 0 flaws whatsoever. Those who whined about the save system need to learn to play.
The game takes like 6 to 8 hours to beat, I forget the exact. And people cry about how hard it is to save? How many times could you possibly need to save in a 8 hour period?
Capcom should have waited til Resident Evil 5 launch to announce DR2 =/. Would have been awesome to beat the game only to unlock a DR2 trailer…
not to mention the poor souls playing on there SD TV’s who couldn’t read the text.
When I saw the rumored teaser trailer, I was all like ‘Guh!’ yesterday, then todays news confirmed it. I damn near came. Hands down must have for me!
