UK: Sky Player Available to All
Microsoft have announced today that the Sky Player is now available to everyone on the UK Dashboard. The service originally launched around ten days ago, but higher than expected demand caused it to overload the Sky Servers, and a revised rollout was phased in a week later.

Statement:
“As you may know we have been implementing a gradual rollout of the Sky Player on Xbox 360 service since our initial launch, and as of today, 100 per cent of the Xbox base can access Sky Player, and tens of thousands of new users are accessing the service daily,” read the statement. “The quality of the service remains of the utmost importance to both Sky and Xbox, and as such we will run further testing over the weekend and continue to monitor the service closely.”
For anyone who is remotely confused by the Free One Month Live TV offer you need to sign up to Sky Player via the website first and on the subscriptions page, enter the code SKYXBOX1MTH
At present there aren’t a great deal of channels available and on-demand streaming content can often pause to load itself since this does not seem to stream as flawlessly as the upcoming Zune Player. If you are already a Sky Movies subscriber then you will have on-demand free access to over 400 movies which is the only real benefit for this service!
Thnaks to Jonah Falcon for this news submission.
